First one that comes to mind for me is just what your duty as an empathetic person is. If you care about other people and their suffering then you should at least take satisfaction in knowing that you can reduce suffering for other people (getting people out of ice camps is a good thing). Second point is that ignoring politics all together is sure to do nothing to increase focus on these issues. Getting involved can only help get attention on those real issues

If you care for yourself and others and want these issues to be addressed get involved in politics, we face high suicide rates because of toxic masculinity and because of how difficult it is to get access to healthcare

College is expensive limiting who has access to it and men have more avenues to careers but those can also be more dangerous and unemployment is hitting everyone
