A guy was proud that his daughter is getting free college because of her school placement and a program the university is doing, and in the very next breath, he is talking about how there should be no free college.

The lack of sympathy for others is a genuine disability, I could never understand a parent bragging about how great their kid is while at the exact same time telling other parents that none of their kids deserve the same things because they didnt do quite as well in school or some shit

No, this was from an uber ride. The guy at the bar asked for my opinion on the Iran War (he found out I was a combat vet). Well, I said it was dumb, and the only way to beat them was a ground war, but expect heavy casualties because it would be like Afghanistan on steroids. Also, this war has allowed Iran to realize that they don’t need a nuclear weapon as deterrent or to compete against super powers. If anything, Iran won in the end. He got mad and stopped talking to me.
