Just a reminder Australia had 18 mass shootings over a couple years, they banned guns and haven’t had one since. We’ve had 33 mass shootings only this year.

At this point anytime someone asks why I want a gun ban, I ask them what they’re doing against gun violence. They never have an answer

Australia does have a lower murder rate than the US, but that was true before they began restricting gun possession.

Not entirely, however they have made sweeping legislation that bans many models of firearms (mostly ones with high rates of fire), entirely. And yes, they do have a lower murder rate overall, their point is about GUN violence specifically, don’t straw man
