It’s basically common knowledge at this point that “studies” claiming anthropogenic climate change is not linked to emissions come from Exxon’s PR office

Never look at who funds studies disproving or downplaying climate change, worst mistake of my life

It’s genuinely sickening. Plus big oil has been pushing the idea of consumer responsibility— reduce reuse and recycle, it’s your fault that the environment is fucked — VERY deliberately to avoid blame… all while funding climate deniers and lobbying the gvmnt. I hope each and every oil ceo dies

It’s literally true, the studies are coming from multinational corporations that make money off of emissions

it didnt heal itself we shot helpful chemicals into it and banned the chemicals that caused it so rapidly in the first place. also the ozone is like the least of our problems

go talk to the Europe and their desire to continue moving away from nuclear, making the largest jumps in coal consumption we’ve seen since the US was in the middle east

The reason that happened in the first place is legislation banning toxic forever chemicals that I’m sure you didn’t support

That’s because the Green Party is fucking stupid and Germany was incredibly scared after Fukushima. They were too stupid to realize they might have to stop depending on Russia at some point and shut down all of their nuclear plants

btw it’s “sowing” — and as OP said, the ban on chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) was huge. I think it’s still printed on some inhalers and shaving creams
