i genuinely cannot fucking fathom holding the viewpoint of “I don’t want to analyze the Bible.” in America. in 2025. In Trump’s America. In 2025. You seriously don’t. Don’t think there’s a utility to analyzing that? At all?
Just because the Bible has a ton of useful allegories doesn’t mean I want to read and analyze it for school. This goes without saying for all religious texts. I don’t want to read them. Feels like forced conversion.

Not everyone is Christian. Reading a holy text in schools is insane. No I don’t think there is utility in indoctrinating kids into your religion in public schools.

Yeah it’s incredibly obvious you’ve never taken AP lit if you think that they’re indoctrinating people lmfao

I got an A in the class and a 4 on the test, but nice try. Forcing kids to read your religious text allows for incredibly easy religious indoctrination based on the teachers personal leanings, and there is nowhere near the amount of oversight that would be needed to teach those texts with a guarantee that the teacher won’t provide bias. But yes, because I disagree with you I obviously must not know what I’m talking about.
