I’ve said it once & I’ll say it again. Israel is one of two countries allowed to do whatever they want to Americans with absolutely 0 repercussions, including murder them. The other country being Saudi Arabia.

Yeah, pretty much. Our government is puppeted by Zionist and/or Zionist sympathizers though so I find that pretty unsurprising.

Every member of the flotilla that agreed to be deported gets deported. It is a conscious choice to stay in detention for refusing to sign the paper that says “I came here illegally and agree to self deport” on a paid-for flight

The embassy better be fighting for his release though. At the very least, making sure he has access to a lawyer etc

Hmm the Israeli ministry of foreign affairs is saying some US citizens have been on the deportation flights to Europe, but I’m having a hard time finding any statements to the media from them. I’ve only seen statements from people from other countries

So are the ones who continue to stay in detention just not reaching out to their loved ones? The embassy won’t even tell their loved ones what their status is?

It’s a military detention center in a country at war, not a motel

How do thy get there illegally? Don’t they have an obligation under international law to try & help prevent the genocide that Israel is currently doing? Also Israel has attacked ships while they were still in international waters.

It doesn’t matter. Israel is required under international treaties to notify the US embassy and allow the detainee to communicate with the embassy. The embassy is able to notify the family if the detainee requests it

UN panel in 2011 called their naval blockade legal. You cannot breach a naval blockade, there are already set points of entry for aid. The pope himself offered to distribute the aid through Cyprus, if it was about the aid they wouldn’t have said no

The entry points for aid are frozen. Everything is closed or moving INCREDIBLY slowly rn

600 truckloads of aid went in on October 5th. The flotilla carried less than a single truckload

The Palmer Report called it legal, what you cited was criticism of the report. And COGAT themselves reported that number as twice the daily average to prepare for the crossing to be closed for the Jewish holiday tonight. You can choose not to believe it, but that’s your choice. That’s the report

I checked the government’s website for aid to Gaza a few days ago, and I believe the number was 132 on the day they last had data for. Data for the days they’ve posted on Instagram does not line up with the dashboard. In fact, the dashboard is gone now

COGAT’s website is currently only updated until September 29th but they tweeted numbers today

Why have they taken the dashboard down? How is anyone supposed to believe that 600 aid trucks got through when that’s more than quadruple what got through before?

Dashboard is right here: https://gaza-aid-data.gov.il/mainhome/ Tweet is here: https://x.com/cogatonline/status/1975215062152347691?s=46 And again, you can choose to believe truth or not, but they specifically adjusted procedures temporarily to increase aid before the crossings close for the holiday tonight

Forgive me if I’m skeptical that 600 trucks entered in one day when the dashboard doesn’t say that. And that would also mean that over 25% of the September total number (2262) of trucks entered on a single day

By all means, it’s your right to be skeptical. But it’s the numbers they’re reporting and that they’ve been reporting. Plus, according to the website I sent there were 5042 trucks in September (1-29)

Hmm, I’ll have to look into why the UN numbers are different. But that’s still just under 10% in one day

Taking into account the crossings being closed on weekends and Jewish holidays in the month of September, that brings the amount of open days between Sep 1-29 to 18 (29-8-3 for weekends and Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur). That leaves the daily average at just over 280 a day. And they specifically ramped up extra to get double today before the holiday. Seems plausible to me
