I just sat here and jumped through so many hoops in my head to try and imagine how it might be an economy thing, then I realized I could just walk out of my room and ask the director of USCIS in my state.

She started off saying, “people think they’re taking their jobs” then after I asked if people are sending back money to places where the dollar is extremely strong, she did say yes, remittance does make it anti-immigration an economic thing, apparently it’s in the billions, hundreds of billions.
