Like why would I be patriotic enough to go fight for an oil company, or some pharmaceutical executive to have his poppy fields? Or go blow up some people thousands of miles away because they wanna run their own government in a way mine doesn’t agree with? That’s all fuckin stupid. I’d fight the Nazis, sure, but the shit we’ve been getting up to since ain’t quite so heroic.

I agree. My point is more that feminism has run its course and has been conquered by misandrists. I had a worse sat score, gpa, and worse extra curriculars than my little brother and I got accepted 9/12 places and he got rejected by all but one. Mostly the same places. I just can’t stand to see him suffer and lack the voice to speak up without people who I consider friends lecturing him abt the patriarchy. I’m starting to feel bad for the modern man

The idea that only men should should be drafted is rooted in the idea that women are “weaker” or more “fragile” compared to men which is a result of belief in patriarchal gender norms not a feminist push for gender equality

I think feminists lost the plot the moment they decided that the women getting honor killed in some countries and FGM happening in Iran and other parts and child brides were less important than characterizing all men as “potential threats” and such

I mean the last time they had to use the draft was because we were in an incredibly unpopular proxy war in Vietnam that accomplished nothing except killing a bunch of innocent people

And additionally, if you truly care about women’s rights you would be against having Muslim men in your country. It’s so wild to me that having a rational opinion on things such as religion and gender makes me seem right wing because of how radical democrats have become. Democrats would never lose again if we returned to Clinton’s politics(minus Monica ofc)

I’m not saying that women want to go to war. I’m saying that men set up a system where only men get drafted because they thought women were incapable of fighting and now complain that the draft is a form or gender inequality

In times of war when something of a draft was needed, women have never been rejected from the fighting force btw. They fought for the tsar, the red army at times, and the Yugoslav partisans. Women have served as auxiliary aides, office workers, nurses and other things right behind the front lines. Particularly during the war, it was a very voluntary choice for women to stay back. Not a choice i condemn them for, but it’s not patriarchy that made them do that
