i'm no american exceptionalist but it pisses me off that we're going to start losing to china simply due to a bunch of unforced errors by morons. like we have all the manpower and brainpower to stay a global leader but a bunch of inbred braindead troglodytes got the keys to the government and are rapidly sending us on an irrecoverable doom spiral

economically, we’ll be in the dumps, but it’s still not all lost. our strongest form of soft power is pop culture and entertainment will be fine. punk will be back and better than ever. independent film directors will have their chance. militarily, we’re still by far the most advanced. russia and china still don’t even have nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, something we’ve had since 1961. We have 11/12 globally and that last one is French, in the era of air superiority 😭

oh yeah just to clarify: i don't think it's over. more so i think we're in a nosedive that we can't pull out of. the crash will be violent and the damage will be great, but we'll still crawl out from the rubble and do what we have to. like #3 said, pop culture will do great - it'll invigorate the rebellious and revolutionary spirits among us and we'll come back better than ever ✊🏽✊🏻✊🏿

and the only reason i think we can't pull out of the nosedive is because the current admin would rather blow up the entire planet before they let us course correct. nothing about this is written in the stars. just a bunch of dunces trying to drag us down to hell with them - not the first time and i'm confident they're too moronic to succeed in a lasting way
