I don't understand how so many ppl in trade unions/who love unions/who rally for unions are politically right-wing. Even more confused about right-wing/conservative EMTs and firefighters.

To be fair neither party really has class interests in mind, you can be in a union and vote for whatever your favourite color is

Giving workers more bargaining power isn’t synonymous with socialism. Collective bargaining can exist well under capitalism and any other form of economics; socialism is a much broader claim about ownership and control of productive property.
