I mean - I won’t deny that the Covid vaccine has been linked to an incidence rate of myocarditis? 5 per 100k, specifically. And that’s higher than zero. the myocarditis risk for acute covid infection is 146 per 100k, though. and it elevates your risk for years afterwards. I think it’s the second part you’re ignoring.
If you stratify by age group, vaccine, and gender I think the risk only becomes close for young men (IIRC like 16-25?) who got 2 doses of Moderna. The solution for them is probably just to get Pfizer or space the doses out lol. Vaccine-related myocarditis is likely almost a non-issue compared to COVID-related myocarditis
https://www.ahajournals.org/doi/full/10.1161/CIRCULATIONAHA.122.059970 ChAdOx1 is AstraZeneca and wasn’t approved in the US so disregard that one. BNT162b2 is Pfizer/BioNTech and mRNA-1273 is Moderna. The benefits outweighed the risks in all cases except men <40 (usually 16-25) who got 2 doses of Moderna and didn’t space them out more than directed
