I’m a leftist and I’ll make this same critique of liberals. I’ve heard so many say that my state did not deserve the funding for tornado relief this year, and that the dead, one I knew personally for fucks sake, DESERVED to die because we live in a red state

True, but I’d like you to accept that this critique of liberals does not always come from conservatives. There are things baked into the current system of liberal thought, like what #1 mentioned, that cause do cause harm to communities and alienate people getting hurt.

I do understand that both parties are at fault. I do not claim liberalism as a whole. I'm actually a socialist, I believe everyone should get the same support and assistance as everyone else. I'm simply pointing out that the harm in this instance was very apparent. Alarms sounded months ago when he said he was going to do this (Defund FEMA) 1/2

They voluntarily chose to fuck other people over for a perceived personal benefit. It sucks I own that. Most people voted Trump over the economy, specifically saving money on taxes and funding for events just like this. I'm outranged at the fact that these kids and people died for no reason, in a completely preventable matter,for personal benefit and out of selfishness.

Theh did not deserve it. If what I'm saying comes off that way my apologies. I am saying they have to own what they did, and all I am saying is that they have to understand what they voted for, and how that hurts people to the benefit of the rest of the country and to prevent something like this from happening again.
