As a leftist I want to say I’m pro control but I’m super into guns. I love handguns and ar kits they’re so cool and versatile but also like idk man how many assassinations and school shootings is too many?

It’s a very tricky issue to address considering that most of shootings that occur are done by weapons that were bought legally and even if stricter gun laws were a thing it wouldn’t change the outcome and most shooters would still get the gun. We just need to enforce better security and yeah a little bit of some stricter gun laws

Guns have almost never stopped a school shooting, especially considering low gun control and increased gun ownership is directly tied to higher mass shooting rates. and guns are more likely to be used. Lowkey it’s scary how many leftists have started parroting straight up NRA propaganda recently. Especially when it’s not backed up by any real evidence.

What? No I have no problem with responsible gun ownership, I just believe irresponsible gun ownership and handling should be severely punished and regulated to ensure everyone who elects to own a firearm is responsible with their firearm before it turns into a stolen gun used in a school shooting or a stolen handgun or a dangerous tool in a mental health episode

The problem is like #1 said. So many shootings come from legal owners. Irdk what an actual solution would be but it sure as hell isn’t putting more guns into the hands of civilians because we can see how that’s worked out. I’m black and feel unsafe everyday knowing there could be a carrier nearby and you’d never be able to suspect if they wanna pull it on someone or not.

Idk man, I can't really support you in owning guns or call you a responsible owner or whatever if you aren't supporting your own rights to do so more than you are a push to take those rights away.
