I personally was effected by tariffs because a British company that wanted to build an attraction here didn’t want to pay the $300,000 in tariffs to import their equipment. So I lost out on an installation gig, a ton of people lost out on staffing jobs, and the city/state lost out on a source of sales/income tax. Nobody won

tariffs are a direct tax on American consumers they act as a regressive tax on the poor they suppress domestic job growth and small businesses it hurts our economic potential how is that a good thing?
