i don’t think harm reduction voting makes you a bad person. but we need to realize that it doesn’t actually make things better. the way you should strive to be better than maga is by actually holding your candidates accountable and not blindly voting.

harris ran a purely anti-trump campaign without really addressing issues that voters were also concerned about. given the biden admins treatment of gaza, i can see why people would consider you apathetic for voting either way. i voted for harris, but i know if she won not much would change about gaza bc it seems like liberals really only care about domestic issues and don’t care what the govt does abroad. just my two cents

Saying Harris wouldn’t change anything ignores her actual record. She backed police reform, cannabis decriminalization, expanded reproductive rights, and gun control. On foreign policy, she supported ceasefire calls before Biden did. Her campaign was def hindered too.

Idk what happened but it seems like it started right around covid. I know that nuked the social development of basically everyone who was in middle/high school at the time, and that might be a big part of it since those people are becoming adults now and creating a sort of sub culture within gen z.
