genuine question to the people who clearly hate trump but still attack kamala voters for “supporting genocide”— literally what do you want from us? we voted against trump but apparently that’s still evil and you know better somehow. so please explain

A lot of views are so black and white nowadays, and I don’t just mean politics. There’s zero critical thought and nuance to anything anymore. We need to get to the root of whatever that is

There is no explanation. They're trash.

like of the two options one was clearly worse but apparently you’re evil and murderous and heartless no matter who you vote for. voting doesn’t mean unconditional endorsement

nothing from you. concessions from the Democratic party is what we want

or maybe for liberals to learn that the Democratic party does not represent its constituents unless they fund and lobby the Democratic party for policies

i don’t think harm reduction voting makes you a bad person. but we need to realize that it doesn’t actually make things better. the way you should strive to be better than maga is by actually holding your candidates accountable and not blindly voting.

harris ran a purely anti-trump campaign without really addressing issues that voters were also concerned about. given the biden admins treatment of gaza, i can see why people would consider you apathetic for voting either way. i voted for harris, but i know if she won not much would change about gaza bc it seems like liberals really only care about domestic issues and don’t care what the govt does abroad. just my two cents

it wasn’t a blind vote. it was a desperate one. and trump has made things so much worse

harris probably wouldn’t have changed much but it’s better than making just about everything worse. again, what’s the solution here? a realistic one please

Harm reduction voting isn’t blind loyalty—it’s survival for millions. Saying it “doesn’t help” ignores real harm prevented. Harris didn’t run purely anti-Trump, and blaming voters for Gaza while ignoring decades of leftist international activism is lazy. You can vote and hold power accountable.

Saying Harris wouldn’t change anything ignores her actual record. She backed police reform, cannabis decriminalization, expanded reproductive rights, and gun control. On foreign policy, she supported ceasefire calls before Biden did. Her campaign was def hindered too.

for liberals to put pressure on democrats and actually hold them accountable instead of praising them for not being trump. just acknowledge that they ran a god awful campaign. trump making things worse doesn’t excuse the fact that democrats foreign policy is downright evil

Idk what happened but it seems like it started right around covid. I know that nuked the social development of basically everyone who was in middle/high school at the time, and that might be a big part of it since those people are becoming adults now and creating a sort of sub culture within gen z. I almost exclusively see these kinds of opinions from gen z

But that could also simply be because I’m also gen z and on gen z dominated platforms like yikyak and TikTok, so maybe it’s everyone 🤷🏻‍♀️

Calling Democrats foreign policy evil while ignoring Trump’s drone strikes, Muslim ban, and sucking up to dictators is absolute clown shit. Liberals do criticize Biden, but unlike you, they don’t sit out while fascism creeps in.

the thing is no leftist is ignoring what trump is doing. liberals were staunchly defending bidens handling of israel well before the election. you gotta realize that us foreign policy is inherently evil. saying we’re ignoring trumps policy is absolutely delusional

Anonymous replying to -> OP 13w

Wrong. No one said they support Trump. The point was that liberals can criticize Biden and still act to reduce harm. They’re not pretending both sides are equal while sitting out...they’re showing up, because real people don’t survive political purity tests.

ignore Trump’s foreign policy meaning it's always downplayed compared to Democrats, while acting like everyone calling it out is soft or complicit. And if calling that out is “hostile,” maybe the problem isn’t the tone, it’s that the truth touched a nerve. Accountability should be applied evenly.

i said hostile bc you called op an asshole for no reason. also saying that leftists are downplaying trump and calling liberals complicit for calling out trump is factually untrue. it doesn’t even make sense. i agree that accountability should be applied evenly. that’s kinda been my whole point

bro i know you’re not calling me a trump supporter. but you are saying that i don’t criticize him as much as democrats, which is not true at all. believe it or not i actually understand that trump is worse than dems. doesn’t give them a free pass tho
