The release of Veo 3 really does slap a big obligation on Google/Meta/Twitter/Reddit to maintain their timestamps because pretty much anything posted online after 3 days ago is going to be indistinguishable from the incoming AI flood

Veo 3 is not as impressive as the hype conveys. As usual with all of these dumbass ai tech demos, they show you exactly what it’s good at, and nothing else, and then everyone immediately believes it’s capable of anything and everything with 0 effort required.

I don’t think Veo 3 is going to be *the* mass misinformation machine, but like if you’re actually keeping up with the academic/scientific journal publishings on AI development, they’re making insane breakthroughs pretty much every 5 days or so
