Like sure there’s many upsides to nation-states but there are consequences too. Ethnic nationalism and the concept of national identity being first and foremost

otherwise, we should focus on internationalism and global cooperation rather than a series of competing nation-states. the nation-states only arose out of necessity for capitalism

Yeah. And regardless of how they formed, they have the effect of fueling harmful ideas of nationalism broadly, and stoking culture war issues over what it means to be part of x nation
