As someone who’s pretty staunchly left-wing, I honestly mostly prefer to hang out with moderate/apolitical people. Most leftists my age are uptight, insufferable wet blankets 🤷🏻‍♀️

It has nothing to do with their political views. It’s more so the way they act in social situations.
