as a woman buying women’s clothing, I go to AE for comfortable, casual outfits. Skin tight denim that can’t even close over my tits is exactly what I’m NOT looking for from that brand

Look at the image on the left and please try and tell me with a straight face that shit doesn’t look skin tight

It’s skin tight: it’s also a totally different material that is way more comfortable when it’s tight. I feel like this isn’t a hard concept

“It’s skin tight, but not the skin tight jeans I like” huh??

so 1. the jacket is what I had an issue with. The 2019 top isn’t denim 2. current trend in denim (like on the right) is classic heavy loose denim. It’s thicker, less flexible, more rigid. But in the late aughts thru the 2010s AE’s most popular fabric was their “flex” denim which is softer and stretchier. It’s better for skinny styles like in the 2019 photo

Again, this isn’t really a novel idea. I’m kind of wondering why you’re trying to “gotcha” me on fabrics and fits when you obviously don’t know anything about clothes. it’s embarrassing tbh

“Better for skinny styles” while featuring a heavy set woman. Is it heavy and loose or skin tight.

Its embarrassing yet you contradict yourself with every sentence. And of course they’re different one is a denim jacket, the other is a polyester tube top 💀 also the post isn’t about fashion trends you dullard. It’s about who they’re hiring to represent their brands.

“Skinny styles” and if I’m a fat man, I can’t wear a slim blazer. You’re not as knowledgeable as you think you are.

it’s not a contradiction, you’re just so out of your depth you don’t understand what I’m saying. and sure, the original original post is about that. But *i’m* OP of this thread, and I’m talking about advertising trends. If I were following the original thesis I’d have just replied there
