they are so moronic it’s a waste of time trying to prove their fantasies wrong. they will create straight up lies to twist the narrative away from trump.

You realize he asked for National Guard on Jan 6th before it ever happened and Nancy Pelosi said no right. She literally said no to the National Guard on Jan 6 and she shot it down. Theres even video of her admitting she should have and was talking about accountability for herself that you can go eatch for yourself

As said by the chief of staff at the department of defense, The speaker of the housr and the mayor are the local governing authorities and its there job to request for the national guard during moments like Jan 6th. Its recorded that DT and the DOD requested to the capital police for NG in advance several times. The capital seargant at arms (who reported to nancy pelosi at the time) denied those several requests saying assistance wasnt needed. The Mayor also denied NG request days in advance

I thought the president has direct control over the DCNG?

You can find both the letter of the mayor declining the National Guard and video proof of Nancy Pelosi discussing taking accountability regarding the Nation Guard. So yeah he did try for National Guard ahead of time and was turned down

Neither of them play a role in the DCNG

The president can deploy national guard in response to situations of insurrection, civil disorder, and armed rebellion. But he himself could send it days in advance which is why request were sent to the local governing authorities of the capital

You can go watch the hearing where this is discussed by l the chief of staff at the dod. The fact that she admitted fault on video and this was discussed in an official hearing where they talk about letters for all this being public and whatnot and the logistics behind it all

In the case of sending it to LA the scale of this is so much larger that sending in National Guard was required. There are much larger scale riots with Law enforcement being assaulted, property damage, looting, people obstructing officers that it is literally in his listed powers to send in National Guard to something like this. And again he did numerous times try to send NG on Jan6 which lasted significantly less time with way less danger. To be clear I dont condone that either

Looting and property damage unrelated to federal property is definitely outside the scope of the NG’s job. And I think the media has blown some of the riots out of proportion. It’s largely limited to a few blocks in LA, based on what I’ve heard from friends who live there
