Republicans have used this trick FOREVER too. They have a history of using the shutdown as leverage for their own priorities. This is the one time they’re the ones proposing the clean CR, because they already got everything they wanted in the OBBB

I never said I’m against it because of republicans. I’m against the idea of them misleading people on the democrats’ demands. ACA premiums will go up 75% if those cuts aren’t extended, and 4M people could lose insurance if that happens. This isn’t about “giving illegals free healthcare”. They shouldn’t mislead their constituents
