I did a study on this and its findings would support your conclusion. Basically anywhere that has some kind of legacy institutional protection, a physical fortress (often metaphorical but sometimes an actual large buildings or several large buildings) and a culture that doesn’t issue the death penalty for rape, becomes somewhat inclined to cover that and other transgressions of its members. So, frats, Hollywood, political organizations, many corporations, etc etc etc.

My school had a member of a frat take his own life recently and then a few days later, the frat was *allegedly* seen hazing pledges

Fr like why do we as a society allow “The Alcoholic Rapist Club (x20)” to be such a major part of college culture? Seems bad. I’m all for partying, and I know for a fact if the drinking age was 18, mfs would not be hitting the frats lmao

I mean it would be one thing if these groups were not directly tied to and sponsored by institutions of higher learning. If they didn’t have the university granting them legitimacy and prestige, a group of dudes buying a house together to do what frats do would deadass just be a cult.
