You got it backwards, she was pretty progressive on many (but not all) social issues but was actually CONSERVATIVE on the economy, embracing a right wing corporate economic philosophy.

She backed down from that when she got phone calls from donors. When she did, her poll numbers plummeted. Maybe she would have won if she stood by price caps.

She stood by extremely unpopular immigration policy and support of trans people. Democrats won’t win an election again if they talk about anything other than economic issues.

She tried to be tough on the border and literally ditched any support of trans people… she ran a right wing campaign targeting nonexistent moderate republicans. the outcome was obvious
