They arent even tolerant to LGBTQ+ people. Many times they have arrested Palestinian LGBTQ+ and threatened to out them if they don’t spy on their friends and family. And no country has been known to make progress on social equity and equality while at war or being subjected to serious threats. Probably one exception is desegregated bars during prohibition but it wasn’t a permanent change.
