It’s not that they could never be allowed to have nukes, but in the current state the middle east is in right now I don’t think it would be a good idea. Tbh I don’t know if anybody should have nukes.

That’s kinda my point, all it would take is another civil war or a government takeover and then terrorists or more dictators would have access to a nuke.

Exactly this was a huge issue especially when the Soviet Union broke up and the ME isn’t exactly stable because of regional actors like Iran and SA. Ofc the US also.
