Not necessarily, but it’s the image that counts. If their primary exposure to western people is porn and hookup culture in the media, these men who are generally less educated and from patriarchal societies form a biased view of western women as freely giving sex. It’s a part of the reason why there’s an unfortunate disproportionate amount of online harassment coming from men from developing countries (like the foreign dudes in instagram dms)
