I think the biggest threats they have today are other countries getting nukes And like increasing UAVs and drones everywhere meaning we need more widespread defense of them

The “up or out” policy is kind of an issue as well, I think military has trouble retaining good talent so senior leadership is kinda just mediocre. Dev cycle is also too long

To be fair there’s only so much you can do on the bleeding edge, China only got the J-20s/J-35A so quickly because they be stealing info about the F-22 and F-35
