Ideas regarding gender, sexuality, immigration, etc. Most of which were once things that weren’t political and personal matters. But now have become personal and it is impossible to have a different opinion regarding these matters without being called a bigot, transphobe, or racist. It’s not even a freedom of speech issue now but becoming a freedom of thought issue.

IMO, the default opinions on gender and sexuality have always been “if it isn’t affecting me, why does it matter.” I think conservatives forget just how hard their party was fighting to keep things like gay marriage on a state by state level because they had a genuine hate for those people, and it wasn’t that long ago
