no you’re extremely fucking correct. i think so many people neglect to realize that if these species go extinct we go with them. if the plant life dies out, if the bees die out, we all fucking die regardless of what side of the political spectrum we’re on. this should honestly be our TOP priority, but unfortunately it’s been so heavily politicized because of misinformation and the american love of big oil and industry and it’s disgusting.

and ofc because we as humans should not be wiping out life on earth for the sake of “furthering” our own species. it’s sickening. we have never seen a mass extinction event like this, our planet has never seen this. we owe it to the planet that sustains us to keep it healthy, sustainable and thriving.

I don’t give I single fuck abt any supposed luxuries I would lose by moving to completely green energy (not energy that “balances out” its emissions) if it means nature documentaries can go back to silly bird dances instead of showing the biggest sea bird in the world accidentally killing its babies by feeding them plastic if all the bugs die the ecosystem will collapse so yeah idk why it’s political when we ALL live on the planet
