-doesn’t give a shit about football, and calls it “soccer”
-is openly hostile to the sport’s primary audience
-has a population too poor and overworked to attend or even just watch
Soccer comes from the British term “association football” to distinguish it from Rugby Football. The former was used in the US as well and the latter gave rise to gridiron football, which is now what Americans call football.

It’s because Bill Gates uncovered massive fraud being done by FIFA and so they feel like they have to please the us on top of that they are adding more games into it this year and thus need more stadiums which made doing North America with Mexico and Canada included make more sense

The British dropped the term soccer in lieu of football
