of course they would, what else would they run on in the future? i can almost guarantee that in the 2026 and ‘28 elections they will be saying “help us stand up to trump’s fascist regime” like they haven’t just been sitting around for the last several years enabling it even if they do win, they ain’t gonna do shit in office because then they’d have nothing to run on during the next election cycle

just because something is illegal doesn’t mean it’s morally wrong. plenty of things are legal that aren’t morally just. if you think rounding up everyone who is here “illegally” (which is only a civil, not criminal, offense) is the right thing to do, you better start rounding up everyone who has a fake ID because identity theft is an actual criminal offense.
