Technically, this isn’t incorrect; the Republican Party is trying to sunset healthcare coverage clauses from the affordable care act in their new budget, but there’s too much disagreement, which means the government would be shut down until their budget for how to allocate their money is agreed upon

Well, they’ve yet to elaborate on exactly how the ACA covers people who don’t have Social Security numbers and therefore wouldn’t be able to obtain coverage, so they use vague references like that

from what ive (admittedly so far only briefly) read, it covers insurance for immigrants with “legal presence” which includes green card holders and student/work visa’s don’t we have access to the bill tho?
