The weirdest part about becoming a server is that my often overly bubbly personality is no longer a distinguishing feature like it was when I was a gas station clerk. Now, it’s expected, and not appreciated. Which is fine, just weird.

this is so gross, but I have found that when my apron is dirtier, people think i’m busier and give me more grace when i’m slower at things. idk if you wear an apron, but that’s where i carry my pad/book to write orders down and keep receipts bc people are needy as fuck and we don’t have enough of those ipads to go around. smear some ketchup on it before a rush LMFAO
