Because then you would get pubescent girls, who do menstruate and thus need the information, not showing up, and you’d get post menopausal women, who do not menstruate, showing up for information they don’t need. It’s stupid.

Notice how I didn’t say anything about trans people to make this point. Even without considering how trans people are affected by language, it’s still a bad idea to use a bio-essentialist blanket conception of “woman”.
