It’s also hilarious considering the nba itself almost didn’t make it into the 1980/1990s because it was such a bad investment. Sports leagues are super fickle and need time to grow

Yeah like it’s just common sense when you’re building any kind of business. You need to invest into it and be willing to spend money in order to make money down the line. Yes, you won’t be making a profit right away, but it doesn’t mean the business is necessarily failing
