u got good taste, i think its such a good example of how artistry in music has been substituted for corporatism and palatibility. that guitar SINGS. idk who does that anymore. my second fave is all along the watchtower. ts goes crazy on a 80 mph highway

Funkadelic and Parliament are just insane examples of musical talent. They’re both George Clinton’s bands, but they’re totally different and both absolutely great. I’m so jealous if my stepdad for having smoked a joint with GEORGE CLINTON when he was the sound guy at some Boone NC venue while he was at Appalachian State lmao

I mean I’m an Uber driver, and 60s-80s R&B or funk music is my go-to genre choice when I’m driving customers, because it’s all so fucking good that NOBODY would ever complain. And I’ve had people from every walk of life compliment it. My favorite is when older Black ladies are like “how did you get into this old music at your age” and I get to be like “my mom’s from Detroit, got raised on Motown Soul”
