Most of the things people hated about Obama were just racism
I liked Obama’s tan suit. That thing looked spiffy. God forbid a president put on something hard and start dripping. Republicans will complain about anything.

Exactly, like often times the far left make actual good critiques of Obama, from the right wing it’s literally just 98% racism other than like… he addressed police brutality? He wasn’t even that radical and he actually hated BLM at first in his early days ironically, so for all intents and purposes he stabbed the far left in the back which is why leftists talk about him with scorn nowadays.

I said “most of,” hoe The people mad about the tan suit and the selfie montage didn’t give a fuck about the war crimes or his lack of solidarity with black people

How did he betray ‘every ideal he ever made a claim on representing’ and what makes him a war criminal?

He drone striked a hospital in the Middle East.

You mean the strike that was requested by Afghanistan forces and approved by the US army and was not directly a decision made by Obama. An incident he apologized for and sent repercussions for. I don’t understand why people use the hospital incident as a reason to hate Obama

The difference is that Obama is young enough to see justice in his lifetime, and we say this as a statement of purpose, if not of fact. Yes, George Bush and Biden as well are also war criminals, and need to be tried in The Hague.

Young enough to see justice in his lifetime? When he became president he quit literally inherited the war on terror and had to deal with the entire war, he ended the cia torture program and he made an executive order to close down Guantanamo Bay which was where a lot of people where tortured to death.

Every level of the American government is actively complicit in campaigns of torture to this day. Guantánamo Bay is not closed. President Obama has deported the most people of any president in the 21st-century. He carried out illegal wars in Libya, Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan, and used drone technology to carry out a terror campaign around the world. President Obama is a war criminal and he will not die a Kissinger

Well yea, America is literally built off of cruelty, genocide, pain and greed. I agree that everyone in the government that was involved with the recent wars needs to be trialed and punished but I just never understood why Obama was the only Pearson that is labeled a war criminal when he was trying to clean up bushes mess lmao

Prosecuting the war in Afghanistan was a war crime for President Bush, and for President Obama. Solely on its own without factoring in any individual incidences of killing civilians. But for me the thing that got me to say it out loud regularly in my life is the practice of classifying any male civilian between the ages of 15 and 65 as a combatant retroactively after they were killed so that no civilians would have been killed. That’s fascism.
