you’re right. we waste more money than 20 other nations combined and we still cannot guarantee that our occupations will be successful. let’s shovel another $2 trillion into an occupation of Afghanistan or something

“Waste is an interesting term” yeah there’s definitely a lot of bloat that could be avoided. But also looking at purchasing power parity China spends more than us. It’s expensive to do anything in America, high labor and material costs inflate the number.

and defense contractors concerned only for profit and nothing else. it’s definitely waste, we do not need to occupy other nations or maintain over 700 international military bases

They are, just like any company. We need to regulate them better. Almost all of those at the invitation of the host nation for security? If the us withdrew from the world Taiwan, South Korea, the Baltic’s, and many other nations probably wouldn’t exist.
