I would much rather have sharia law than current law bc this government is shut down and still taking half of everyone’s paycheck, but in sharia law it’s (supposedly) less than 2%
You people are trying to take over America. Shut up, if it worked in your country, why are you here?

Yeah, but I am a person of color who’s parents are from a “country of interest” so it’s not like the laws now help me very much

that’s true, but would you trade away the rights of every woman - to education, to work, to drive, to be in public uncovered - for lower taxes?

A simple google search has said that according to sharia law, and not the fucking taliban, women are NOT banned from education, work, driving, or being uncovered in public, so yes I’d do it

gotcha, so you would institutionalize sexism as long as it’s “not the fucking taliban” and you got paid.

You lack reading comprehension. The taliban is the one saying women can’t work, go to school, not be covered in public, but actual sharia law according to Google doesn’t say any of those things

no, I’m saying sharia law does in fact have laws specifically about the role of women - they are debated like any religious law, but they are real. also clearly if you’re relying “on google” you’re not exactly an expert

but per sharia law, women’s testimony is often not weighted as highly as a man’s. There are different property inheritance rights. Certain forms of domestic violence against women are permitted.

also beyond just women, sharia is straight up a nightmare for queer people. And that’s not just the taliban.
