A LOT of plant species are hermaphroditic and can self-fertilize. Which, if you break down the Latin a bit where homo = same, it could be seen as the truest example of homosexuality possible. Also, that’s a fungus.

Mushrooms aren’t a plant, they’re actually fungi! (I just had a quiz about this yesterday.) And yes, while they don’t exactly have sexuality in the same way as an animal would, they also have multiple complex mating types (their version of gender) which is kind of interesting.
