Have you even read it or are you just spewing this bs out of nowhere. The government deserves hate, not the people who sacrificed their lives for what they thought was the greater good. The soldiers and nurses aren’t the ones making decisions and causing the deaths of civilians, it’s the government. Respect our veterans but still protest.

And if you’d actually read it, it’s far from “jingo”. The main character herself is against what’s happening in Vietnam and she protests against it with other veterans.

I also just want to clarify, I am not a patriotic person. Not that I don’t love my country, but shit is going downhill fast. I will shit on the government and our current administration any day of the week. But our veterans still deserve respect and recognition. They aren’t the government. You need to stop being so narrow sighted and try to look at other perspectives.
