By American standards it’s pretty close, especially when you consider land grant universities

The government using taxpayer money to provide everyone with the same (or similar) quality of life improvement without corporations competing for profit is pretty close to socialism

I don’t think they mean they actual meaning of the word socialism, but instead how republicans take the word socialism and apply it to things like public education to try and fear monger people into believing it’s bad

I’m not trying to say it’s socialism itself, it just shares similarities with aspects of socialism It’s definitely not the capitalist-ideal school source
