If you’re not far left, you are mistaken at best. That goes for centrists as well.

That’s literally implicit in the concept of believing things. The difference between us is that I’m honest about it.

And that’s why beliefs can be dangerous. Belief requires an unwavering commitment to a thought or argument regardless of good arguments and evidence against it, meaning you are likely to reject the arguments and evidence if you already believe it to be true. It’s the same reason religious people stay in their religion or atheists stay atheists, the same reason Nazis stay Nazis or Leftists stay Leftists.

To believe there is an objective truth about something is to say that your belief is the best which is very dangerous in the wrong hands
