I can probably find a middle ground on everything with liberals, democrats and trans EXCEPT abortion, men in women’s bathroom, and men in women’s sports leagues

Yes, men shouldn’t be in women’s restrooms or sports. Trans women are women, though, and should be allowed in said spaces.

2A is tough because I conceal carry and don’t believe everybody should have guns. (Bad guys and criminals). However I know libs and democrats will use the restrictions to not only take guns from bad guys but also good guys like me too.

Men are defined as homospaiens that contain XY chromosomes and a penis and scrotum. Trans women have XY chromosomes and a penis and scrotum

I’m not trying to be transphobic or anything and I have nothing against trans people. Just pointing out the facts.

There are XX people with classically male genitals and vise versa. Just pointing out the facts. Here’s a couple more: Besides, reducing women to what’s in their pants is pretty messed up. Sex ≠ gender.

Exceptions are not the rule. If one person is born albino that does not mean it is normal for people to generally be albino

Nobody is reducing women. It’s for thier safety. I’m a man and it’s a lot easier for men to take advantage of women. Men are stronger, have greater bone structure and density ect… Just because someone doesn’t identify with what they were born with doesn’t automatically change thier dna and physical attributes.

Then bathrooms should be for your biological sex. Not what you identify as. I shouldn’t be able to say I identify as a girl then go in the women’s restroom and be a peeping tom. If u disagree then idek what to say

Now I’m gonna say this slowly, so you have the best chance at following allow. Your issue is not with trans women, your issue is with men who assault women.

Yes. My problem is with those biologically male using biological advantages over women . I’ve already said I don’t have an inherent problem with trans people and I’m not a transphobe. I don’t want any male trans or not in a women’s bathroom

Estrogen literally decreases muscle mass so I don’t think you’ve looked too deep into this subject.

Taking estrogen may give you more feminine features (And masculine vice versa with testosterone) BUT IT DOES NOT CHNAGE YOUR BONE STRUCTURE AND DNA ON A MOLECULE LEVEL. You still retain all the small nuisances from to your gender. It’s why a scientist can dig up a bone 100 years later and tell you which sex you were born with

Can I get a source on that last point? Cause all I’ve heard from archeologists is that they kinda just guess which sex a skeleton was. They usually use evidence besides the skeletal remains (like what they’re buried with) to determine sex).

I mean, like, tiny genetic differences really aren’t important here. We care about the phenotype, not the genotype.

HRT doesn’t tend to alter the skeleton IF THE PERSON WAS ALREADY AN ADULT from my understanding. Puberty blockers also delay it which means if you take them then later start HRT same thing.

but also I don’t know about the archaeological side of things here.

I will say that the brains of trans men or trans women generally have more in common with the brains of other men/women. There’s a lot of overlap in that, to be fair, but it does tend to be shifted towards their gender identity.

True, but even then skeletal structures aren’t one to one. There can just be men with abnormally large hips, for example. In cases like that, archeologists could easily mistake the sex of no other evidence is found.

The assumption that you’re making here seems a bit odd. Are you worried about a larger, more muscular man in the bathroom with you? I’ll note that there’s no evidence that gender inclusive bathrooms increase risk of SA and in fact there’s evidence that schools with them have REDUCED rates of SA. Trans individuals tend to have higher risks of being sexually assaulted as well.

If we’re just talking skeletons yeah, but HRT definitely does change adult physiology, just less so compared to prepubescent people.

anyway Ultimately, the entire thing here is propaganda. People want to have a reasonable sounding way to stoke fear about trans people. It’s completely overblown. I’d honestly suggest talking to some trans people and asking (POLITE) questions about their lived experience, if you’ve never met any. Go to the GSA and get a pamphlet or something. If you’re not willing to include new information in your understanding, though, you’re an asshole, and I’m hoping you’re not one.

The “men in sports women’s leagues” thing is ALSO about trans people but that one’s a bit less accepted by some liberal people so I’m not gonna argue too hard about it today. I’ve got a road trip tmrw I’ll just say that I’ll trust the science on this one, and the science says that after time on HRT there are no major differences. Some studies find differences, sure, but they’re generally all within the normal range of variation in cisgender individuals and they say that. In the studies.

abortion is a moral argument, either you think a fetus is a person or you don’t so I doubt I’ll convince you I’m just gonna say that if I was against abortion I’d have to be against jorkin it as well, a fetus is something that could theoretically develop into a baby, not a baby. it’s not like people are aborting that late into a pregnancy. It’s more of an early to just after halfway thing. and also you can make this whole argument about hypothetical forced organ donation anyway.

The current administration is the one responsible for weaponizing ICE against a man exercising 2A. They literally shot him for having a gun. Common sense reform like banning assault weapons or bump stocks prevents mass shootings, not the average person from carrying a handgun. Make some more sense

Banning assault weapons bans a bunch of handguns, and banning bump stocks under the logic they're machine guns is just dumb

I should have clarified, automatic and semiautomatic assault rifles. Recent bipartisan legislation has been centered around that. And while I agree that the average citizen deserves access to self defense in the form of a gun, it’s also ridiculous how much gun violence has been permitted in this country under the guise of 2A. That was never the intention of the amendment
