Like conservative thinkers like John Locke and Saint Thomas Aquinas have contributed greatly to the development of American values and American democracy as whole and should be celebrated for it. However, modern American conservatives have begun to violate the very moral and epistemic constraints that they spent their lives laying the groundwork for and what has evolved into American political culture.
