ok so there are valid reasons to be upset with him, and then there are not valid reasons to be upset with him. the biggest complaints and points of protest have largely been about invalid ones. valid ones are why tf is tisch still the nypd commissioner (precedent is having your own when you get into office) and why is the srg not disbanded. invalid ones are why didnt he arrest netanyahu or why hasnt he stopped land sales in synagogues or him attending that vigil in the first place or
invalid is the complaint about him "allowing" the bill about protesting synagogues to pass (he couldnt veto it, it had supermajority) the $6.4 million in funding to fight antisemitism is up and down but i think its mostly an invalid complaint. antisemitic hate crimes have been half of the hate crimes in the city, done on 12% of the population. some of the funding goes to holocaust memorials and visits to there for schools. $1 million of it is for security measures to synagogues.
like sure those organizations are probably zionist, but the direction of the funding is set and its for pretty undeniable purposes. im not going to legitimize an out of the blue protest where people are calling ZOHRAN MAMDANI a fascist, a zionist, especially when that protest was specifically on an oct 7th vigil by "israelis for peace" that had a lot about palestine like im sorry, im going to trust the guy whos been protesting for palestine way before 2023 over some random ydsa members now on it
