Unironically 65+ make up 80% of healthcare which makes sense, but yeah there’s so many fees involved with dying which is actually very sad.

Man just wait until you look into tax on inheritance. The amount you can pass on tax-free is insane. And when your heirs get your IRA or something, the cost basis is reset. So they can sell immediately and not pay any capital gains taxes

It costs an insane amount of money to die. Oh, you got cancer and died after a long fight with it? Congratulations, your children are inheriting nothing because your entire estate and life insurance policy are going straight to your cancer treatment bills, which are in the 6-figure range. the rich who are about to take all the wealth from the elderly will simply recreate the same conditions that will lead to the same outcome in 50 or so years unless we actually slow/stop capital accumulation and wealth consolidation
