it’s so stupid bc why would a library need a plane anyway? especially a plane only used for like, a year.

To be fair, Reagan’s presidential library has an AF1 but it was used by quite a few presidents and was not a gift from a foreign country

The other key thing is that it was in use until 2001 - far after Reagan left office. I would find it inappropriate for any president to decommission an AF1 to their specific library
