Truth my cousins go to church and they’re the nicest, most generous kids I know. Not saying you need church to become that but it helps

It was religion that made me believe that in the first place, actually. My parents would always say I was evil, and that evil people went to hell. And when I looked into the texts myself I saw that even good people went to hell, and believed i could never wash away my sins enough to go to heaven. So i believed i was doomed to hell for being an evil seven year old

Ive since rediscovered religion but it took a long time and a lot of therapy

That does sound tough to deal with. The fact is that all of us are sinners, and none are able to “deserve” salvation by ourselves. (Romans 3:23, 3:10, 6:23) However, Christ took our sins on himself so that if we simply confess our sins, repent of them, and believe in Jesus, we will be cleansed and made new! (Romans 6:23, 10:9) It’s really amazing what Jesus can do! Feel free to dm me if you have any questions👊
