Living in a big city with a pickup truck is actual discrimination man Everything is built too small for you, it’s hard to even get groceries without a cyclist or a pedestrian darting right in front of you.

Pro tip: you don’t need a truck in a city

The fact that you expect all architecture and infrastructure to be designed around cars, and specifically your huge car, is your problem.

Isn’t the point that pick up trucks are meant for rural areas? Driving one in a city is just LARP lmao

Smaller cars can tow things too, believe me bro you’ll be happier without it. Also get a bike while youre at it, fantastic way to move across a city. Ideally it’d be one of the only ways with cars parked in garages on the edges of the city, leaving the city itself free to be traversed by bike/foot/scooter/public transit

I need it, I tow stuff. Also it’s just a common thing to do??? You can’t live in America and not expect people to own pickups

They can go slowly and take out of the way paths, whereas the most direct path can be available to transit, pedestrians, and bikers. Similarly, you can have car-free streets except for emergency and delivery or maintenance vehicles.

most of the US is built that way. densely populated cities are the one place where people who can’t drive or can’t afford cars can exist. Can do the basic things they need to live. I have a disability that means I can’t drive. It is literally impossible for me to live anywhere other than a city. The same things that mildly inconvenience you make my life possible.
